Our Kickstarter was successfully funded and we’re moving forward with production! Onwards and upwards is the only way to go when you’re trying to create the future of food. But we wanted to take a moment to recap and reflect our Kickstarter journey. We learned a lot that we’d like to share with other creatives who want to make their dreams a reality.
First the recap:
464 backers pledged a total of $25,477 to bring our project to life! During the whirlwind 30 day campaign, we hosted two launch parties, two happy hours, talked to 16 journalists, and gave a talk at our alma mater. We even did our first on-screen interview for FoxNews.com.
The second launch party was a brunch at our friends' beautiful home in San Francisco. There were lots of pancakes and cricket treats by Bitty Foods and Tiny Farms. And of course Critter Bitters! We set up a DIY Critter Bitters Cocktail Bar. Guests were able to make "Pomplemosas" (champagne, grapefruit juice, and Critter Bitters) or "Virgin Pomplemosas" (subbing the champagne for soda water).
We’d like to thank our friends and family for their generous support. We literally and figuratively couldn’t have done it without you!
Now to reflect:
We wrote an article on Medium about the lessons we learned from running a Kickstarter campaign. Check it out and let us know what you think.
